Hizb 46

And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 can lure away from God any 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 We glorify God." 166 What though they would say, 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
