Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
