Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
