Hizb 46

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 They used to say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
