Hizb 46
< random >
So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
