S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Sad. I swear by the Quran, which is full of reminders of God, (that you are a Messenger). 1 In fact, the disbelievers are in false pride and opposition. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed afore them, and they cried when there was not time of fleeing. 3 They wondered that a warner had come to them from among themselves, and the deniers of the Truth said: “This is a sorcerer, and a big liar. 4 Does he claim that all the deities are [but] one God? Verily, a most strange thing is this!" 5 A group of the pagans walked out of a meeting with the Prophet and told the others, "Let us walk away. Be steadfast in the worship of your gods. This man wants to dominate you. 6 We have heard nothing like this in the latest religion. This is only his own false invention. 7 Can it be that he alone has received the Quran?" In fact, they have doubts about My Quran and this is because they have not yet faced (My) torment. 8 Or are theirs the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Mighty, the Bestower? 9 Or have they the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all between? If so, let them mount up with the ropes and means (to reach that end)! 10 This is just one of the disgraced armies, that will be routed there and then. 11 Even before them the people of Noah, 'Ad, the mighty Pharoah, 12 and so did Thamud and the people of Lot and the people of Aykah. These were all leagued together. 13 There was none of them but called the apostles liars, so just was My retribution. 14
