The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
