The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 by a burning fire 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
