S (Saad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Saad, by the Holy Reading (Koran) of the Remembrance. 1 But the Unbelievers (are steeped) in self-glory and Separatism. 2 How many a generation We have destroyed before them, and they cried out when there was no longer time for escape! 3 They wondered that a warner had come to them from among themselves, and the deniers of the Truth said: “This is a sorcerer, and a big liar. 4 What! makes he the gods a single Allah? A strange thing is this, to be sure! 5 And the leader among them go away (impatiently), (saying), "Walk ye away, and remain constant to your gods! For this is truly a thing designed (against you)! 6 We have not heard of this in the last religion; this is surely an invention. 7 Hath the reminder been unto him (alone) among us? Nay, but they are in doubt concerning My reminder; nay but they have not yet tasted My doom. 8 Or, have they the treasuries of the Mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Giving? 9 Or, is theirs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Then let them ascend by (their) means! 10 But there - will be put to flight even a host of confederates. 11 Before them (were many who) rejected messengers,- the people of Noah, and 'Ad, and Pharaoh, the Lord of Stakes, 12 And the Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the dwellers of the wood; these were the confederates. 13 not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due. 14
