And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 And We bestowed on him his household and along with them the like thereof, out of mercy from us, and a remembrance unto men of understanding. 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 wherein they recline, and wherein they call for fruits abundant, and sweet potions, 51 ۞ And with them are those of modest gaze, companions. 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place! 56 All this; so let them taste it - boiling water and pus, 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
