Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 [and thereupon was told:] "Strike [the ground] with thy foot: here is cool water to wash with and to drink!" 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 (We said to him): 'Take a bundle of rushes and strike with it; and do not break your oath' We found him to be patient, a good worshiper and he was penitent. 44 And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! 47 And remember Isma'il (Ishmael), Al-Yasa'a (Elisha), and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the best. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 This is so! And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger - disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.), will be an evil final return (Fire), 55 Hell, wherein they roast: a wretched couch. 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 And other torments of similar kind, all together! 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64
