Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 And We gave to him his family, and the like of them with them, as a mercy from us, and a reminder unto men possessed of minds; 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 And most surely they were with Us, of the elect, the best. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 Gardens of Eden with gates open wide to them, 50 Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 Hell, where they will burn, an evil resting-place. 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 And similar other punishments in pairs. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 They say: Nay, but you (misleaders), for you there is no word of welcome. Ye prepared this for us (by your misleading). Now hapless is the plight. 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
