And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 Surely We purified them by a pure quality, the keeping in mind of the (final) abode. 46 And in Our sight, they are indeed the chosen ones, the beloved. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks; 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 this is Our provision, unto which there is no end.' 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place! 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 and other sufferings of the kind. 58 Their leaders will be told, "This band will also be thrown headlong with you into hell." Their leaders will exclaim, "May condemnation fall upon them! Let them suffer the torment of fire". 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
