Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 And We gave to him his family, and the like of them with them, as a mercy from us, and a reminder unto men possessed of minds; 43 We told him, "Take a handful of straw. Strike your wife with it to fulfill your oath." We found him to be patient. What an excellent servant he was. He was certainly most repenting. 44 AND CALL to mind Our servants Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, [all of them] endowed with inner strength and vision: 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is an advice; and indeed for the pious is an excellent abode. 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 hell will they have to endure - and how vile a resting-place! 56 This is for the criminals – so that they may taste it – boiling hot water and pus. 57 And other torments of similar kind, all together! 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement." 60 They will say: our Lord! whosever hath brought this upon us, unto him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
