Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all): 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them, the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving.” 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 from which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the chiefs on high when they disputed; 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 (Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Truly, I am going to create man from clay". 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 Then the angels bowed before him in a body, 73 Except Iblis; he was proud and was, from the beginning, a disbeliever. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 Satan said: “My Lord, then grant me respite till the Day that they are raised up.” 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 He said, "By Your Honour, I will lead all of them astray, 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
