(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say thou: it is a tiding mighty. 67 From which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 When your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from clay; 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 Except Iblis; he was proud and was, from the beginning, a disbeliever. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 Satan replied, "I am better than him. You created me from fire, but You created him from clay." 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'For this I ask of you no wage, and I am not of those who take things upon themselves. 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
