Say: 'I am only a warner. There is no god except Allah, the One, the Conqueror, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 "No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves. 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: “Verily I am creating a human being from clay. 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 Satan replied, "I am better than him. You created me from fire, but You created him from clay." 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 My curse will remain upon you till the Day of Judgement!" 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 Save Thy single-minded slaves among them. 83 The Lord said, "I swear by the Truth - and I speak the Truth - 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
