Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing. 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; the Almighty, the Forgiving' 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 yet you ignore it. 68 "I had no knowledge of the chiefs (angels) on high when they were disputing and discussing (about the creation of Adam). 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate, 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 He said, “Therefore exit from heaven, for you have been outcast.” (To disrespect the Prophets – peace and blessings be upon them – is blasphemy.) 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 He said: The truth then is and the truth do I speak: 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
