Anyone whose heart God has opened up to Islam possesses a light from his Lord. But woe betide those whose hearts have been hardened against the rememberance of God! Such people are in obvious error. 22 Allah hath revealed the most excellent discourse, a Book consimilar oft-repeated, whereat trembleth the skins of these who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts soften at the remembrance of Allah. This is Allah's guidance, wherewith He guideth whomsoever He will. And whomsoever Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide. 23 Is he whose face is cautious of the evil of the punishment on the Day of Resurrection (to be compared to the unbeliever)! To the evildoers it shall be said: 'Now taste that which you have been earning' 24 Those before them belied, wherefore the torment came on them whence they knew not. 25 God gave them a taste of humiliation in the life of this world, but the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew it. 26 And We have certainly presented for the people in this Qur'an from every [kind of] example - that they might remember. 27 A Lecture in Arabic, containing no crookedness, that haply they may ward off (evil). 28 Allah coineth a similitude: A man in relation to whom are several part-owners, quarrelling, and a man belonging wholly to one man. Are the two equal in similitude? Praise be to Allah! But most of them know not. 29 Verily thou art mortal, and verily they are mortals. 30 and, then on the Day of Resurrection you shall place your dispute before your Sustainer. 31
