Forgiver (Ghaafer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ha'. Mim. 1 The revelation of the Scripture is from Allah, the Mighty, the Knower, 2 Who forgiveth sin, accepteth repentance, is strict in punishment, and hath a long reach (in all things). there is no god but He: to Him is the final goal. 3 None but the unbelievers dispute concerning the verses of Allah. So do not be deluded by their going to and fro in the land. 4 The people of Noah who lived before and the Confederate tribes who lived after them rejected Our revelations. Every nation schemed against its Messengers to seize them and disputed against them to defeat the truth. But torment struck them and how terrible was their retribution! 5 And thus did the word of your Lord prove true against those who disbelieved that they are the inmates of the fire. 6 Those who bear the Throne and those who are round about it, hallow the praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who believe, saying: our Lord! Thou comprehendest everything in mercy and knowledge, wherefore forgive these who repent and follow Thine path, and protect them from the torment of the Flaming Fire. 7 “O Our Lord! And admit them into the Gardens of everlasting stay which you have promised them, and those who are virtuous among their forefathers and their wives and their offspring; indeed You only are the Most Honourable, the Wise.” 8 And keep them from evil deeds, and whom Thou keepest from evil deeds this day, indeed Thou hast mercy on him, and that is the mighty achievement. 9
