And he who believed said: O my people! Follow me. I will show you the way of right conduct. 38 O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement. 39 Whoever does evil will be requited with evil; but whoever does good, whether male or female, and is a believer, will enter the Garden; where they will be provided for without measure. 40 ۞ My people, "How strange is it that I invite you to salvation when you invite me to the fire. 41 You call me to disbelieve in Allah and to associate with Him that of which I know nothing; while I call you to the Almighty, the Forgiving. 42 Assuredly, that to which you invite me has no [response to a] supplication in this world or in the Hereafter; and indeed, our return is to Allah, and indeed, the transgressors will be companions of the Fire. 43 You will remember what I say to you. To Allah I commit my affair, surely, Allah sees His worshipers' 44 And God preserved him from the evil of their scheming, whereas suffering vile was to encompass Pharaoh's folk: 45 They are exposed to the Fire every morning and evening; and when the Last Hour will come to pass, a command shall be given: “Admit the Pharaonites to an even more severe chastisement.” 46 And when they argue with one another in Hell, the weak will say to the proud: 'We were your followers, will you help us against any share of the Fire' 47 The arrogant will answer: "All of us are in it. Surely God has judged between His creatures." 48 Those in the Fire will say to the warders of Hell: "Ask your Lord to reduce the punishment by a day for us." 49 They will say: "Did not your apostles come to you with clear proofs?" They will answer: "Indeed, they did." "Then pray," will (the warders) say. But the praying of unbelievers will be all in vain. 50
