Do you not see how those who dispute God's signs, are turned away from the right path -- 69 Those who deny the Book and what We have sent down with Our apostles, will soon come to know 70 when they shall have to carry the shackles and chains [of their own making] around their necks, 71 into the boiling water, then into the Fire they are poured; 72 And then they will be asked: "Where now are those [powers] to which you were wont to ascribe divinity 73 They will say, "They have been lost to us; nay, we did not invoke anything before [that had real existence]." Thus God leaves the deniers of the truth to stray; 74 (They will be told): “This is because while you were on earth you took delight in untruth and exulted in it. 75 Enter Hell now to abide in it. How woeful is the abode of those who wax proud! 76 So be thou patient; surely God's promise is true. Whether We show thee a part of that We promise them, or We call thee unto Us, to Us they shall be returned. 77 And certainly We sent apostles before you: there are some of them that We have mentioned to you and there are others whom We have not mentioned to you, and it was not meet for an apostle that he should bring a sign except with Allah's permission, but when the command of Allah came, judgment was given with truth, and those who treated (it) as a lie were lost. 78
