Have you not seen how your Lord lengthens out the shadow? He could have kept it motionless if He liked. Yet We make the sun its pilot to show the way. 45 Then We take it to Ourselves, taking little by little. 46 And He it is Who maketh night a covering for you, and sleep repose, and maketh day a resurrection. 47 It is He who loosens the winds, bearing glad tidings before the Hands of His Mercy, and We have sent down pure water from the heaven, 48 so, that with it We revive dead lands and provide drink for the cattle and the human We created. 49 We have indeed turned it about amongst them, so that they may remember; yet most men refuse all but unbelief. 50 And if We had pleased We would certainly have raised a warner in every town. 51 Se obey not thou the infidels, but strive against them therewith with a great striving. 52 ۞ And He it is Who hath given independence to the two seas (though they meet); one palatable, sweet, and the other saltish, bitter; and hath set a bar and a forbidding ban between them. 53 And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation]. 54 And yet, some people worship, instead of God, things that can neither benefit them nor harm them: thus, he who denies the truth does indeed turn his back on his Sustainer! 55 But thee We only sent to give glad tidings and admonition. 56 Say: I do not ask you aught in return except that he who will, may take the way to his Lord. 57 And trust the Living One Who will never die, and praising Him proclaim His Purity; and He is Sufficient upon the sins of His bondmen, All Aware. 58 The One Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, then befitting His Majesty, established Himself upon the Throne (of control); the Most Gracious – therefore ask the one who knows, concerning Him! 59 And when it is said to them, “Prostrate to the Most Gracious” – they say, “And what is the Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate to whatever you command us?” And this command only increases the hatred in them. (Command of Prostration # 7) ۩ 60
