The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In extending columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
