O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do. 51 And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. 54 Think they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We provide them 55 We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not. 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 And those who do not associate (aught) with their Lord, 59 And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord, 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works, and it is they who outrun [all others] in attaining to them! 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels (denying them, and with hatred to listen to them). 66 In scorn thereof. Nightly did ye rave together. 67 Why did they not think over the message? Or has something come to them which had not come to their fathers? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 (Muhammad), you certainly have called them to the right path, 73 And most surely those who do not believe in the hereafter are deviating from the way. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
