ART THOU NOT aware of how far they who call God's messages in question have lost sight of the truth? 69 those who reject the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers shall soon know -- 70 When, with (iron) collars and chains around their necks, they will be dragged 71 boiling water, and cast into the Fire. 72 Then shall it be said to them: Where is that which you used to set up 73 Other than Allah?" They will say, "They have departed from us; rather, we did not used to invoke previously anything." Thus does Allah put astray the disbelievers. 74 That is because you exulted in the land unjustly and because you behaved insolently. 75 Enter ye the gates of hell, to dwell therein. Evil is the habitation of the scornful. 76 So be patient, surely the promise of Allah is true. So should We make you see part of what We threaten them with, or should We cause you to die, to Us shall they be returned. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
