And he whose sight is dim to the remembrance of the Beneficent, We assign unto him a devil who becometh his comrade; 36 And lo! they surely turn them from the way of Allah, and yet they deem that they are rightly guided; 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 And it profiteth you not this day, because ye did wrong, that ye will be sharers in the doom. 39 Can you (O Muhammad SAW) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error? 40 We shall punish them whether We take you away, 41 Or if We shew thee that wherewith We threaten them, verily We are going to prevail over them. 42 Therefore hold fast to what We have divinely revealed to you; indeed you are upon the Straight Path. (The Holy Prophets can never go astray). 43 And verily it is an admonition unto thee and thy people; and presently ye will be questioned. 44 Ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before you, "Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent One?" 45
