And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion. 36 Surely the (devils) obstruct them from the path, though they think they are rightly guided, -- 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 And since you were unjust, it will not profit you this day that you are sharers in the chastisement. 39 What, shalt thou make the deaf to hear, or shalt thou guide the blind and him who is in manifest error? 40 And even if We take you (O Muhammad SAW) away, We shall indeed take vengeance on them. 41 Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them, then verily, We have perfect command over them. 42 So hold thou fast unto that which has been revealed unto thee; surely thou art upon a straight path. 43 The (Qur'an) is indeed the message, for thee and for thy people; and soon shall ye (all) be brought to account. 44 And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped? 45
