۞ And when the example of the son of Maryam is given, your people laugh at it! 57 and say: "Which is better - our deities or he?" [But] it is only in the spirit of dispute that they put this comparison before thee: yea, they are contentious folk! 58 (Jesus) was only a creature whom We favoured and made an example for the children of Israel. 59 And if it were Our Will, We would have [destroyed you (mankind) all, and] made angels to replace you on the earth. Have no doubt about it and follow me; this is the straight path. 61 do not let Satan bar your way. He is truly your sworn enemy. 62 And when Isa came with evidences, he said: of a surety I have come unto you with wisdom, and to expound unto you some of that wherein ye differ; so fear Allah and obey me. 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him.
