۞ When [Jesus] the son of Mary is held up as an example, your people raise an outcry on this, 57 And say: "Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing. Surely they are a contentious people. 58 He is only a servant We blessed, and We made him to be an example to the Children of Israel. 59 And had We so willed, [O you who worship angels,] We could indeed have made you into angels succeeding one another on earth! 60 (Muhammad), tell them, "Jesus is a sign of the Hour of Doom. Have no doubt about it and follow me; this is the straight path. 61 And let not Satan turn you aside. Lo! he is an open enemy for you. 62 And when Jesus came with the clear signs he said, 'I have come to you with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you some of that whereon you are at variance; so fear you God and obey you me. 63 Allah is my Lord and your Lord; therefore, serve Him. That is the Straight Way.” 64 But the factions differed among themselves. Woe alas to the sinners for the torment of the grievous Day! 65 They await but the Hour: that it should come upon them of a sudden, while they perceive not. 66 Close friends will turn into enemies of one another on that Day, except the pious. 67
