The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 and say, 'Surely, I am the manifest warner.' 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 For all their deeds. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
