And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 Yet these say: 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba' and those before them whom We destroyed? They were surely sinners. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 none of this have We created without [an inner] truth: but most of them understand it not. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
