And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba' and those before them whom We destroyed? They were surely sinners. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
