Surely the tree of the Zaqqum, 43 is food for the sinner. 44 Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies, 45 As the seething of boiling water. 46 (It will be said of such sinners), "Seize them and drag them into the middle of hell. 47 Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." 48 "Taste thou (this)! Truly wast thou mighty, full of honour! 49 This is the very thing which you [deniers of the truth] were wont to call in question!" 50 Surely the godfearing shall be in a station secure 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 Dressed in brocade and shot silk, facing one another. 53 so it will be. We shall wed them to maidens with large, dark eyes. 54 They shall call therein for every fruit in security; 55 There they will not know any death apart from the first death they had died, and will be kept safe from the torment of Hell 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That is the supreme triumph. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So be watchful, they too are watching. 59
