The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 Is the food of the sinful 44 like molten lead will it boil in the belly, 45 As does boiling water. 46 “Seize him, and forcibly drag him right to the blazing fire.” 47 "Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water, 48 Taste; you forsooth are the mighty, the honorable: 49 Lo! this is that whereof ye used to doubt. 50 Indeed the pious are in a place of peace. 51 Amidst gardens and springs. 52 dressed in silks and brocade, set face to face. 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 There in security, they will call for every kind of fruit. 55 They will not taste death therein, save the first death. God will save them from the torment of Hell 56 as a favour from your Lord. That is the great triumph. 57 And We have made (this Scripture) easy in thy language only that they may heed. 58 So wait thou [for what the future will bring]: behold, they, too, are waiting. 59
