Verily the tree of Zaqqum 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 like molten lead will it boil in the belly, 45 like water. 46 [And the word will be spoken:] "Seize him, [O you forces of hell,] and drag him into the midst of the blazing fire: 47 Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." 48 "Taste it," (they will be told). "You were indeed the mighty and noble! 49 This is that which you doubted' 50 Surely those who fear and follow the straight path will be in a place of peace and security 51 Among Gardens and Springs; 52 dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, and they will face each other: 53 Even so (it will be). And We shall wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. 54 In that [paradise] they shall [rightfully] claim all the fruits [of their past deeds,] resting in security; 55 They will not taste death therein, save the first death. God will save them from the torment of Hell 56 As a Bounty from thy Lord! that will be the supreme achievement! 57 So have We made it easy in your tongue that they may be mindful. 58 So watch, [O Muhammad]; indeed, they are watching [for your end]. 59
