What! Do they, in whose hearts is a disease, fancy that Allah will not expose concealed enmities? 29 And if We willed, We could show them to you, and you would know them by their mark; but you will surely know them by the tone of [their] speech. And Allah knows your deeds. 30 And We shall indeed test you until We make known the warriors and the steadfast among you – and to test your proclamations. 31 Verily, those who disbelieve, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e. Islam), and oppose the Messenger (SAW) (by standing against him and hurting him), after the guidance has been clearly shown to them, they will not hurt Allah in the least, but He will make their deeds fruitless, 32 O believers, obey God, and obey the Messenger, and do not make your own works vain. 33 ۞ Indeed those who disbelieved and prevented others from Allah’s way, and then died as disbelievers – so Allah will never forgive them. 34 Wherefore faint not, nor cry out for peace; and ye shall be triumphant. And Allah is with you, and He will not defraud you of your works. 35 The life of the world is but a sport and a pastime. And if ye believe and fear, He will give you your hire, and will not require of you your substance. 36 If He asks for all you possess and insist upon it, you will become niggardly, and it will bring out your malevolence. 37 Behold! You are those who are called upon to spend for God's cause, but among you are those who are niggardly, and whoever stints does so against his own self. Indeed, God is self-sufficient, but you stand in need [of Him], and if you turn back, He will bring in your place another people, who will not be like you. 38
