And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 The human being will certainly experience the agony of death 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 And the trumpet will be blown: this is the Day of the Threatening. 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day. 22 His companion attendant will say, "I have here his record ready." 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 forbidder of good, transgressor and doubter, 25 Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom. 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
