Indeed, We created the human. We know the whisperings of his soul, and are closer to him than the jugular vein. 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the trumpet shall be blown; that is the day of the threatening. 20 And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day. 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ Man's other self' will say: "O our Sustainer! It was not I that led his conscious mind into evil [nay,] but it had gone far astray [of its own accord]! 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
