And indeed We have created man and We know what his soul instils in him; and We are nearer to him than the hearts artery. 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And every human being will come forward with [his erstwhile] inner urges and [his] conscious mind, 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His companion will say: O our Lord! caused him not to transgress but he was himself in error far off. 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 My Word is not changed; and never do I inflict the least wrong upon My servants.” 29
