The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Compassionate. 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 He created man 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
