And indeed We have created man and We know what his soul instils in him; and We are nearer to him than the hearts artery. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the trumpet blast will sound: It would be the Day of Doom. 20 Each person will arrive attended by an [angel] to drive him on and another to bear witness. 21 (It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this, now We have removed your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!" 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 [every] withholder of good [and] sinful aggressor [and] fomentor of distrust [between man and man - everyone] 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
