It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun. 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 And every soul came, along with a herder and a witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 hinderer of good, transgressor, causing others to doubt, 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning. 28 There is no changing of My word, nor am I unjust to My creatures." 29
