We created man -- We know the promptings of his soul, and are closer to him than his jugular vein -- 16 When the two receiving angels receive from him, one seated on the right and one on the left. 17 There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it). 18 And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun. 19 And the trumpet will be blown: this is the Day of the Threatening. 20 And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 His companion will say: "Here is (the record) I have ready with me." 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
