It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown; that is the Day of the Threat. 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!" 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 [every] withholder of good [and] sinful aggressor [and] fomentor of distrust [between man and man - everyone] 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 God will say, "Do not quarrel in My presence. I gave you the warning beforehand 28 The Word is not changed with Me; I wrong not My servants.' 29
