Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
