Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
