Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope]. 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
