Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
