Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
